About the Cranberry Movement
The Cranberry Movement is a not-for-profit initiative of J’Aime MH (Love My Health), a Canadian advocacy group based in Toronto, Ontario, that promotes health through functional foods and nutrition. Cranberries are its first initiative.
What we do
We run this site to do three things:
- Explain what published research says about cranberries and health.
- Share cranberry recipes and ways to prepare them.
- Point people to cranberry events, growers and community news, mostly in Canada.
You can read how the initiative started in our launch press release.
Health information
Our health pages summarise published research in plain language. They are educational and are not medical advice. Cranberries are a food, not a treatment: if you have a health condition or take medication, talk to a doctor, pharmacist or registered dietitian before changing your diet.
Recipes and credits
Some recipes are our own. Others are shared with credit from partners, including Diabetes Canada and registered dietitian Shahzadi Devje. Each recipe names its source, and links to the original where there is one.
Who writes here
Articles are written by Richard Narayansingh and Leon Vainer. Guest contributors and collaborators are credited on the post they worked on.
